Design Systems are all the rage at the moment, and it's for good reason—digital products deliver a better user experience when they feel like they belong to the same family. If you've had the opportunity to contribute to a design system, build one from scratch or even work solo on a library of reusable UI elements you know this is no simple task. And while Sketch has recently introduced libraries with beta 47, there is one tool that is continues to impress. Figma, cross platform, browser based design tooling goodness.
Tom Lowry, Design Lead at OpenText will take us through the ins and outs of Figma, demonstrate its capabilities and, as is the m.o. with all our Meetups, give us some hands on training with Figma by creating a simple design system from scratch and presenting a ton of other awesome features that might just convince you (and me) to make the switch to Figma.
As usual if you have any questions about the meetup please leave your comments below.
